Glow Up: Inside/Out beauty
Losing 10 pounds, being in a good mood during my cycle, enjoying getting dressed again and breaking out less are all connected to my routines.
Honestly? I didn’t think any of it was possible at one point, but here we are.
It wasn’t about big dramatic changes. Instead it was small, consistent tweaks over time that got me here.
Now I’m sharing some of those secrets with you!
We all know how hard it can be to prioritize feeling good.
That’s why I hope these tips help you as much as they’ve helped me.
For the past 3 years I’ve been documenting my style evolution, wellness habits, favorite snacks, recipes, workouts and supplements both here and on socials.
So excited to share 5 ways I show up for myself that are easy to start incorporating into your routine today.
1. Movement
Whether it’s a full workout or a gentle stretch or a walk, I make sure my body gets some form of movement daily.
What helps me stay consistent is not being rigid about what that movement looks like. It turns movement into a feature of my day instead of feeling like a chore. On rest days, I love foam rolling or using a massage ball for myofascial release. It feels like hitting reset!
If you’re in NYC I have a highlight on Instagram called “EhlieTriesIt” if you’re looking for some more ideas.
2. Feed The Mind
Journaling or meditating in the mornings is ideal but when I’m not in that flow I love finding great podcasts, tuning into great entrepreneurs on YouTube, or picking up one of the books I’ve been meaning to finish. When I can’t clear my head at the very least I can direct my thoughts .
3. Hydrate and Supplement Smart
AD
Staying hydrated is a non-negotiable for me, and I’ve also found that adding the right supplements has made a big difference.
Drinking so much water can get a little boring so once I get to my 3rd glass I’ve been adding a Copina Co refresher. They’re made with coconut water, Irish sea moss, and pink Himalayan salt. These refreshers are sweetened with stevia. Plus, you know the girls are very into sea moss because it supports skin and gut health while providing essential minerals.
That’s a big boost for a glass of water
😍.
My favorite flavor is the Passionfruit . You might like the citrus flavor.
Ritual is still my multi-v of choice.
I also take a magnesium supplement, iron supplement, and occasionally I’ll take a probiotic.
You know I’ve been exploring collagen supplements alongside my plant based collagen support supplements.
If you want your collagen support with a side of matcha energy,
try Copina Co’s Plant based collagen support.
We can do a whole supplement deep dive soon!
4. Prioritize Rest
I’ve learned that true wellness isn’t about pushing yourself all the time. Some days, total rest is the best thing you can do for your body. A good night’s sleep, setting the timer for 10 minutes of silence, or even a lazy afternoon in cozy clothes can work wonders.
On a busy day I like to sit in silence with a warm drink and stare out the window.
I find that the energy comes from being intentional with it.
5. Plant-Based Power
I’m not one of those people who thinks everyone should be plant based. All I advocate for is making more plant based choices than normal. That can be one lunch a week to try different things and learn what you love (and hate).
Intuition lead me to being plant based for 11 years now. It was a very slow process that started when I was 11. It’s never all or nothing.
Remember, small consistent tweaks.
Already incorporating plant based meals? Maybe add one more. Experiment with breakfast.
Need some inspo?
I included my own vegan waffle recipe below too! A fun way to get in some extra protein.
.
Top the waffle with your favorite things. I like Nuttzo seed butter, maple or date syrup and yogurt. I usually sprinkle hemp seeds on top. With the toppings it ends up being over 30g of protein. Without any toppings it’s about 26g.
Let me know what speaks to you and how it goes.
xo,
Ehlie
