A Hyaluronic Water Gel?

By now we all know the wonder and magic that is HA.
If you’re new to these Hyaluronic streets, let me break it down.

Basically HA is a boss level humectant.

What does that mean? It draws water/moisture into the skin and holds it. As a humectant, HA is basically a magnet for water.

On March 2nd Bossface sent over their HA 15% Water Gel Intense for review.

I started testing it out on March 6th.

Here’s a chaotic screenshot of me telling you about it on IG stories that day.

I’m extremely selective about what I test on my face, because nobody likes contact dermatitis, breakouts or any other product induced skin issues.

Skincare professionals always recommend changing one thing at a time so we can get a true sense of how the skin is responding.

Much like with food, it’s always better to make one small change at a time when trying to gather data.

The texture:

Upon application it has a cooling and soothing effect.
It has the added benefit of acting like a primer under makeup. Once it dries down, it actually feels like a primer too (but not the silicone kind).

A lot of us know the heartbreak of having a serum pill under makeup.

This texture however plays nicely with a beat face. Love that for us.

The results:

Well it’s been less than a month. I don’t have any miracles to report. I will say that I enjoyed the texture and as an MUA and creator in the beauty space, this will likely end up as an empty.

As someone who focuses primarily on moisture and nourishing my skin, this fits in with my current routine.

I’ll update you again when I’ve used it all up.
