Reactive Skin Eye Creams That Work + A Couple Extras
Do you stay away from eye creams because every time you try one, you wake up with bumps under your eyes?
Well If you have, stay with me here.
By the way, this is gonna end with a couple of Netflix recs. Don’t ask me how 😂.
Now about eye creams -disappointment has been tied to the majority of my eye cream experiences.
Burning, bumps, oh my!
Chile, I had all but given up on eye creams. The thing is though, this Benjamin Button thing ain’t forever!
So I got back on the proverbial horse and so far these 3 are giving me hope right now.
First up is Peach & Lily Pure Peach Retionic Eye Cream. It’s the lightest in texture, very hydrating and gentle.
Claims: Tackles lines, deeply etched wrinkles, loss of firmness, dark circles, dryness. Supercharge your eyes. I’ve. been using this one the longest.
On the opposite side of the spectrum texture wise is True Botanicals Resurrection Radiance Eye Cream. This one focuses on de-puffing and hydration. It also claims to address dark circles. It has a bit of a botanical fragrance, so if you’re sensitive to that - skip this.
Rounding out the sensitive thug eye cream selects is the vitamin c having Ole Henriksen’s Banana Bright Eye Cream. It promises brightness and bouncy skin (aka supple/hydrated). On the fragrance front it’s giving citrus. It kind of smells like dessert. Texture wise it sits between the first too. Not the lightest, not the heaviest.
I’m still trying to figure how I feel about the fragrant eye creams. In the meantime I’m just excited to put on any eye cream without waking up the next morning with milia.
Anyway, enough about our quest to stay de-puffed, bright and line-less (or at least fewer/softer ones).
Here are a couple of Netflix options to check out this weekend.
I never got into this brand. Personally I thought the vibe was bratty, pretentious and the smell? No thank you. I walked into one in a mall ages ago and walked right on out. The mark A&F made can’t be denied. I found this documentary super interesting and sadly not surprising.
2. Russian Doll is a show I’ve caught wind of but for some reason never watched until this week. I got the opportunity to do Danielle Perez’s makeup for the NYC premiere of season 2. So I started watching the show to see her in it but of course I started from the 1st season.
I’ve been missing out. It’s like Groundhog Day on acid in modern day NYC with a heavy dose of IDGAF.
Bonus: Craig David talks to Steven Bartlett on Diary of a CEO - SPOTIFY
This conversation is so honest and inspiring. He talks about the rollercoaster of fame, the light and dark side of it and everything in between.
